Charles Sturt University
Spread across multiple campuses in New South Wales Australian Capital Territory and Victoria, Charles Sturt University is a public research institution. Offering UG, PG, and TAFE qualification, it boasts three faculties: Arts and Education, Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences, and Science and Health. Though it traces its history back to 1895, it was formally established in 1989. With a student population of nearly 23,000 and international students comprising some 20% of the student body, CSU is a great place to study in NSW.

Rankings
The CSU maintains a good standing in the QS WUR, remaining in the top 1000 institutions worldwide, with a respectable top 300 ranking for Agriculture and Forestry. THE places it on ex equo 67th place for Impact Rankings 2022.
Employability
Graduates of CSU enjoy among the best employment rates in Australia according to GUG 2022/23. The University offers employment support with career development workshops, personal appointments with career development officers, special programs, and all-round job-application, cv-writing, interview techniques, and opportunity-sourcing strategies. Fees
The Australian government pays a portion of the tuition fee for Commonwealth supported students. The remaining amount is called the 'student contribution'. Fees for international students vary course-to-course, with majority in the $30,000-$36,000. Find all info here.
Bursaries
The University awards more than $3m in grants and scholarships every year. There are 246 different opportunities, each carrying different eligibility criteria, some of which are open to international students. Money awarded varies, as there is a number of ways in which the university grants it: from simple cash awards to weekly support, or tuition fees discounts. Accommodation
Most first-year students are guaranteed a place in uni-managed halls. These offer all-inclusive rent, varying from $173pw-$323pw. There are also opportunities to ‘take the stress out of cooking’ with food outlets and meal plans on offer. Availability varies campus-to-campus. Students are represented in Student Representative Committees, University Committees and Boards, as well as in the Student Senate. Details here. There is a dedicated Student Representation and Clubs officer at each of the campuses. Clubs and societies are numerous, with opportunities to engage in sports, arts, and general merriment. CSU alumni are particularly visible in journalism and TV, with Andrew Denton, Amanda Keller, Latika Bourke, and Hamish Macdonald all calling CSU their alma mater.
