The University of Essex is a campus based university in South East england. It was established in 1964 in Colchester and attracts around 15,000 students each year. The University focuses on excellence in both teaching and research.

The University offers financial packages, bursaries for care leavers, students with refugee status and students from lower income households, and also has a scholarship finder. As well as this there is country specific funding available.
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered on the Colchester Campus and Southend Campus and specific accommodation include The Towers, South Courts and The Houses. Prices range from £102-£188 per week on the Colchester Campus and accommodation is guaranteed for all first year students.
