Situated on New Kent Road in TfL’s Zone 1, Portchester House student accommodation is a three-minute walk from Elephant and Castle tube station. Surrounded by creativity, culture, and international cuisine you will be living in one of London’s most dynamic and diverse neighbourhoods. Elephant & Castle continues to grow and develop with the latest attraction, Castle Square, located next door for you to explore. You are within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, café, and shops as well as The Shard, London Bridge and Hays Galleria. Portchester House includes a social space, the Sky Lounge, found on the 20th floor offering a 360-degree view of the London skyline. Within the Sky Lounge you are welcome to use the cinema room, games room and the study space, or just relax on the sofa and enjoy the view. It makes it an ideal space to socialise, network, study and have fun with peers and other residents. All our rooms are studios with their own en-suites and a range of views to choose from. Rooms are fully furnished with a kitchenette, double bed, spacious desk, and plenty of storage space. Tenancy information As well as paying the rent, you may also be required to make the following permitted payments: • Deposits are taken for student lets (a maximum deposit of 5 weeks' rent for annual rent below £50,000, or 6 weeks' rent for annual rental of £50,000 and above) • TV licence fee • Interest payments for the late payment of rent (up to 3% above Bank of England's annual percentage rate); • Reasonable costs for replacement of lost keys or other security devices; • Contractual damages in the event of the tenant's default of a tenancy agreement • A holding deposit of £250 Tenant protection Get Living are members of The Property Ombudsman (consumer redress scheme) and have client money protection with the Propertymark Client Money Protection Scheme.
