This award-winning hall (Best University Housing 2022,2023 & 2024 and #1Best Property in Derby*) is home to a selection of different sized ensuite rooms and self-contained studios in the heart of the University Quarter. Residents are conveniently close to lectures, the city centre’s restaurants, bars and shops and the FREE Unibus service. Rooms are arranged in flats with 3 to 7 people sharing a large kitchen/social space with sofas and soft seating. All kitchens also contain a cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink, drainer, cupboards, work tops and table and chairs or breakfast bar with seating. Each bedroom has a small double bed with underbed storage, a modern ensuite, bookshelves, a wardrobe, a desk and chair and hi-speed internet. There is also a large common room with TV and a pool table. Resident wellbeing is our number one priority. The staff team have strong links with student services at the University and can offer help, advice and reassurance. There is also a 24hr contact number for residents and round-the-clock security. Free social events and activities Unlike other halls in Derby, University halls organise a Residence Life programme of mostly free activities and events with opportunities to try new hobbies, make friends and settle in. Activities include free sports tournaments, quizzes, cookery classes and low-cost day trips.
